SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a family‑friendly attraction in the heart of London, suitable for all ages from babies to adults. It takes you on a journey through 14 themed zones, from the UK’s largest living coral reef to rainforest creatures, penguins, and huge open‑ocean tanks. There are tunnels, touch pools, and exciting encounters with sharks, rays, turtles, and many more sea animals.

Visitors can explore interactive areas like the Ocean Invaders jellyfish zone, walk above the Shark Walk, or dive deeper with an optional VR ocean adventure. Standard tickets start from £31 online, with options like Anytime Entry or VR add‑ons. Special events (such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons) are included with entry, and birthday party packages are available to make the day even more memorable.

  • Coral Kingdom – Features the UK’s largest living coral reef populated with hundreds of clownfish and tropical reef creatures.  
  • Ocean Invaders – The UK’s largest jellyfish zone with three interactive galleries; explores jellyfish evolution, stings, and allows digital creation of jellyfish.
  • Rainforest Adventure – A humid rainforest walkthrough showcasing piranhas, crocodiles, tarantulas, frogs, and tropical fish.
  • Polar Adventure (Penguin Point) – Home to a Gentoo penguin colony with augmented‑reality Arctic animals; lighting mimics winter cycles to encourage natural behavior.
  • Ray Lagoon – A lagoon beneath a pier showcasing graceful rays; visitors can spot eggs (mermaid’s purses).
  • Open Oceans – Large tank with tropical fish, stone replicas (e.g. whale bones), Southern stingrays, cownose rays, purple tangs, triggerfish, snappers.
  • Aquarium Tunnel – A 5 m submerged glass tunnel in a 750,000 L Open Ocean tank; features zebra sharks, green sea turtles, cownose rays, pufferfish, cleaner wrasse, batfish. 
  • Shark Walk – Walk across a glass platform above the Pacific shark tank to view sharks from below.  
  • Shipwreck Zone – Simulated wreck with sand tiger, nurse sharks, bowmouth guitarfish (“Betty”). 
  • Seahorse Kingdom – Exhibits seahorses, pipefish, plant-like weedy seadragons; highlights male pregnancy.
  • Rockpool Explorer – Interactive touch pools to feel starfish, anemones, stingray eggs, mermaid’s purses.  
  • Conservation Cove – Interactive displays on marine threats and SEA LIFE Trust initiatives; petition stations and sustainable seafood guides.  
  • Shark Reef Encounter – A shark exhibit featuring cleaner fish that use sharks to scratch and remove parasites.

Facilities

  • Buggy Policy : You are more than welcome to bring a buggy into attraction as we are fully accessible with lifts throughout the aquarium. We also have a free buggy bay if you wish to leave your Buggy during peak seasons.
  • Dogs & Other Animals : Guide Dogs and other assistance animals are permitted in the Aquarium.
  • Toilets & Baby Changing : There are baby changing facilities in both female, male and disabled toilets.
  • Parking : Paid Parking available at Q-Park Car Park and National Theatre Car Park.

  • By Tube : The nearest tube stations to SEA LIFE London are Westminster and Waterloo.
  • By Train : The nearest train station to SEA LIFE is Waterloo. From Waterloo follow the exit signs for the South Bank and walk towards the London Eye. SEA LIFE London Aquarium is in County Hall, next to the London Eye. Charing Cross train station is also near to SEA LIFE London Aquarium. From Charing Cross take the exit next to platform 1 for Hungerford Bridge; go over the bridge and follow signs for Jubilee Gardens. Follow the river front past the London Eye and the Aquarium is on your left.
  • By Bus : For Westminster Bridge Road, take the 12, 53, 59, 76, 148, 159, 211 or 341. For Belvedere Road (just behind the Aquarium, parallel to the South Bank), take the 77 or RV1. For York Road (next to Waterloo and behind the Aquarium) take the 211, 77 or 381.
  • By Foot : SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a 15 minute walk from Trafalgar Square in the centre of London. Just head straight down Northumberland Avenue, across the Golden Jubilee bridge and straight up The Queens Walk to our entrance!
